Chelsea London have once again reached the FA Cup final. FA Cup semi-final: Slow start, thrilling finale

Chelsea London had to be patient in yesterday's FA Cup semi-final, as it took almost an entire half for the match to come to life. In the first half, Aston Villa's James Milner in the 15th minute and Chelsea London's Florent Malouda in the 35th minute had the only two notable chances to put their teams ahead.

Michael Ballack sets up the decisive goal

In the 66th minute, Chelsea London fans finally had reason to cheer: star striker Didier Drogba reacted quickest and scored from a corner. From then on, the match became an exciting contest, as Aston Villa had to push forward after falling behind. A pass from German Chelsea player Michael Ballack settled the match shortly before the end, when he set up Malouda perfectly in the 89th minute. Ballack had come on as a substitute in the 77th minute of the semi-final against Aston Villa. Immediately after the 2-0, Chelsea's Frank Lampard scored to make it 3-0 and seal the final score.

On 15 May 2010, with Chelsea FC Chelsea London taking part, Wembley will host “the mother of all cup finals.” This will be the 129th staging of the FA Cup final, the world's oldest cup competition.
