RHS Chelsea Flower Show

The “RHS Chelsea Flower Show” will once again take place in London from 19 to 23 May 2010. It is the world’s largest show of its kind, devoted entirely to gardens and gardening.

An international show with “flower power”

The Chelsea RHS Flower Show is held in the London district of Chelsea , on the south-eastern outskirts of the city. The RHS Chelsea Flower Show is presented in the gardens of the Royal Hospital. Every year, international exhibitors come from all over the world to showcase their work at the event. The RHS Flower Show is not only the largest event of its kind worldwide, but also the most important and prestigious. The world’s leading producers of plants and flowers are represented at this exhibition. However, not just anyone can take part: exhibitors are carefully selected in advance by a jury. Being able to participate and showcase your work at this event is a privilege and a mark of distinction. The exhibition is organised by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS).

Chelsea RHS Flower Show: A diverse showcase of the world of flowers

Around 600 exhibitors are expected at the 2010 show. About 100 of them will display their flowers in the Central Pavilion. Twenty-two small gardens, each based on a different theme, will be created in the Royal Hospital gardens. A panel of experts will assess the individual exhibitors’ displays and then draw up a ranking. Award-winning exhibitors receive medals and certificates.

Visitors will also be well catered for, with food stalls, bars and restaurants available throughout the show. One highlight of the RHS Flower Show is the charity gala, which begins at 7 p.m. on 17 May 2010. Flower lovers and amateur gardeners should plan a visit to the RHS Flower Show at the end of May 2010—the largest and most important exhibition of its kind in the world.
